Janmastami Celebration

JANMASTAMI CELEBRATION

Janmashtami, a joyous Hindu festival, celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. It typically falls in August or September. The day is marked by fasting, prayer, and devotional songs. Temples are adorned, and idols of baby Krishna are bathed and dressed beautifully. At midnight, the divine birth moment, devotees sing and dance in celebration. Dahi Handi, where young men form human pyramids to break pots of curd hung high, adds excitement. Janmashtami symbolizes the victory of good over evil and teaches devotion, humility, and the importance of righteousness in our lives.
